So after a while behind the scenes, the new 2020 DVD ‘Everday is a Saturday’ has been announced. I decided to fire a few questions towards Troy ‘Biggie Sals’ Charlesworth to find out a bit more about it.
So we have been hearing some media hype surrounding a new 2020 DVD, but it’s not part of the Hindsight series from a few years ago. Firstly, explain how the idea for the DVD came about?
Wellll my dudes it all started with small talk between Nick Gascoine and myself. The idea was pretty much the same as what Transworld did with Range of Motion. Nick said some words to Matt Holmes and next minute, im in 2020 working out the crew for it but it all fell through because things didn’t go to plan. So I always wanted to make a DVD with alot of different crews in it and just make it one big mixed DVD so theres NO full parts and parts of the songs make a riders cheeky part FEEELL MEEEEEEE B

How is it going to be formatted and who features?

What has the filming/travelling process been like? Have you filmed everything yourself?
Yeah I’m a bit of a control freak with filming, I’ve filmed pretty much airthing except for the double angle stuff that Raph, Calvin and
Mitch Wood helped me out with. The trips and filming with everyone has been unreal like always I’m pretty lucky to just be able to hop on a plane and just rock up in a different state and airbody’s like Salads in town, let’s film/party BMX IS AWESOME hahah
Any interesting stories you can recall which have emerged out of filming?
My DUDESS, Stuff happens everyday like with the police and bums, home boyzz and Mr tuff guys but didn’t really get into any fucked up shit this time around I don’t think. But I have alot of funny Yonny footage of run throughs on products/how to do tricks/crib vids.

What does the future have in store for Big Salad DVD projects?
The future my dudes, who knows, I have always got something going on. I have talked to some peeps about an idea but haven’t really locked that in yet, but right now I’m just looking forward to getting this done and moving out of the beach house three stories up, gate that opens by a button, into Brisbane city. Who knows how many stories up but it will probably have an intercom and a button to open the door downstairs. I got to go, Pop Sals is pissing me off and I need to sort him out.
