Ahh the joys of holidays are beginning to seap into the fabric of my daytime BMX abilities! I spent this gorgeous Tuesday searching for spots around Noosa and the southern tips of the Sunshine Coast with Duffy and Morris. Found a couple really awesome jibs which will require a night time return.

First up, spotted a pretty dope raz hop which I wasn’t too keen on first thing in the morning. However, Duffy’s perseverance led me on the trail to success…;

After finding the night time return spots, we headed back to Caloundra so I could one up myself at a few places;

Did a few tricks down this set which Duffy got pretty sweet. Crispy is not so tasty, however you get the general gist;

We also hit one of my all time favourite raz tangs;

Shot and filmed a sweet clip;

C’est un grand jour!

Hot ding daddy, once again, had what probably couldn’t have been a better day of riding. If its possible, I think I’m even more in love with BMX. I started off the day by meeting up with 4 peg Dave, Frenchie and Samson. We chose a suburb within Brisbane and rode around searching for whatever lay in front of us. I’d say we got fairly lucky today, we ended up finding rad spots from the moment we began our quest.

Structurally supportive up raz;

Just around the other side of the complex, we came across the craziest ledge I have ever seen in South East Queensland;

We were there only long enough to have a few runs before an overweight Islander security guard kicked us out. Definitely going back;!

We then tried to ride it again, until the seccy came back and, with a little more frustration, moved us along. Feeling a little ripped off, we rode around the corner and found this which 4 peg Dave fired off;

Once again, to our and their dismay, the seccy’s stumbled upon us and began to ruin our fun. However, this time, the overweight Islander individual was fuming and I’m sure, if his body structure allowed, would have exited his vehicle to chase us away.

Not feeling too sad, we rode around the corner and found this gem;

With the feeling of satisfaction entrenched within us, we carried on down the road after being threatened with the dreaded police call from a rather tweaked out and angry old lady (at the above spot). I assume god felt the need to crush our spirits, as a police car pulled us over and began taking our details;

However, our charm and politefulness whisked away the notion of a fine. Thanks to the cops for being cool about it. Damn the above cop had a rad mustache too!
After this encounter, we decided that a change of suburb was in need. So, we moved on and came across another raz. 4 peg Dave slayed a dub to tooth hang;

Afterwards, to end the magnificent, or as Frenchie would say ‘magnifique’ day, we messed around on this little rail;

Sweet dudes, sweet spots, sweet as fuck day… By the way, expect to see more french within Crispy, that shit is so naughty!

Today, on this bright and beautiful winters day, Jackson Townsend, Frenchie, Samson, Rye and myself drove to Nambour and spent the day riding around the immediate area upon which we parked.

Turned out to be a great idea as we found a gnarly curved rail, un-viewable from the road;

Travelling onwards, we found a few good spots in the High School. Frenchie did the raz;

I filmed a little line;

Afterwards, the primary school right next door had a sweet gap begging to be done. The amount of shade combined with my dark clothes called for some Samson help;

Lady pulling sweater in action;

Tourist did a sweet caveman on the same setup;

Then on our way back, Frenchie almost pulled a manual to wallride. Unfortunately, it got the better of him. He couldn’t figure it out;!

and lastly, I increased my confidence in barspins, hitting this little set;

We ended up having a killer of a day, super productive and enjoyable. Thanks to tourist for taking photos (we got higher quality shots of the above photos) and the rest of the dudes for helping out.

I have been liaising with council officials about the new concept design plans for Creekwood Skatepark, which will be positioned next to Meridan Plains High School, even closer to me than Caloundra!

Turns out I was a little late, the community consultation process has almost ended, so the above design (as far as I’m aware) will receive implementation and completion within the next 18 months.

I would be happy with any new additional park, so this comes at a surprise and happily so. If anyone else is interested in this process, there is a council meeting at Kawana Community Centre on the 15th July which I will definitely be attending. Hopefully we can provide influence into any further additions on this design as well as any future designs, wouldn’t that be cool!

Mackos Baghdatis has finally recovered from his frontflip to mattress ankle death and is back on the steed. He came over before to construct the final portion of his bike and to have a little ride…

Hmmm???;

Hoppin’;

At the moment I am equally as stoked as the little guy. Uni has finished up for a month or so and riding is about to receive a lot more attention.

We had a pretty big weekend, I headed straight to Tims after work to meet up with him, Rye and the infamous Tom C. Well all chilled and had a few beverages bedore we decided to head to Jack Jarrots to pick him and a few other lads to celebrate his 18th birthday. I gave everyone a breif piano lesson then we piled into Ryes bang bus and headed to firdays.
The night got pretty loose from thereso we all laged on the photos, but on an upside they did actually let me in…
but i got kicked out anyway.
Then got kicked out of Micky D’s

The next day we all woke up pretty ratshit. Sat around the house feeling sorry for ourselves until we eventually musterd up the courage to get our shit together and head to cali to meet up with Mike, Frenchie, Bosshog and Tom D.
Tim fought through his hang over to snag a couple of tasty photos-

Eventually the day came to an end and we sadly went our seperate ways. Although there was a certain facebook status update from the boss that made realize they made the right decision;)

The crew from the previous night ended up at Tims again for some pre party drinks and a pornathon. We all gradually drank our way out of our hangovers and headed off to Jack’s for his 18th party. Again we lagged on photos, but Rye managed to shnap a few for his seat by the heater, which he didnt leave the whole night.

A couple of highlights would have to be 2 girls in the bathroom who weren’t quite bright enough to unlock the door who decided to break a window up escape that way. The next time a saw them they were getting out from a table getting beer poured all over them. Also someone may have shneakly stolen one of their toothbrushes and got half the party to whipe their arses with it before returning it.

How to make toast

& onions.

rye is beautiful.

You have already seen the Crispy shots from the weekend. Now I have compiled a few killer shots from Tom who accompanied me for the majority of Saturday/Sunday.

Big top raz hop;

Smelly armpits;

Once again, ended up at Caloundra. Got a few shots of some other dudes too, case in point, Jesse with a sweet euro;

Tuck one foot;

Tim, can jam;

This shit is going worldwide;

I purchased some floodlights today. However, I will need a generator at some point to power them without access to an outlet. Does anyone have a generator I can borrow or know of a good place to buy one?

Ey Yo!

Oh so close to uni break, I can’t wait. This period in my life is so damn enjoyable. Anyway, this weekend I spent a bit of time with boss man, chilling 420 and clipping naughty moves.

Let me tell you, this shit is juicyyyyyy;

Steve the lemon even joined in;

Crispy clippin’;

I want to ride with Tom Dugan;

Matty was reppin’ one of the new Tempered tee’s from the upcoming nightmare range, this shit is so badass;

Once again, we had a scary encounter with a group of indigenous individuals Saturday night… It’s too hard to explain the nature of the incident, but I can say I’m glad they were driving a car with less horsepower than mine….

Oh and thanks to Tom, Moe and Mackos baghdatis for helping out with photos and filming this afternoon.

I would have to say (without bias) that this is the sexiest my setup has ever looked. My bike, when dropped, does not make one noise. Oh and yes I am still oh so stoked on no brakes….

Thanks to Matty for hooking it all up…

In case anyone was wondering, no Michael Hasn’t revoked my crispy account yet, and no i don’t have the internet. Obviously I can’t blog about this weekend, and I can’t write about last weekend because i don’t feel comfortable sharing those kind of wild things with crispys millions of viewers.
I do have a couple of little things that i am stoked on at the moment-

Arcade Fire- suburbs

Been hanging to hear something new from these guys for ages, so i was thought it was delightful to hear they have finished their new album and are releasing it on the 3rd of August.

Mark Mulville- Round 2

Always stoked on this guys riding and he is probably my favourite trails rider.
Killer clean style, and nice taste in sandwiches.
