Here we have a little edit featuring some squeed dads as well as a few clips of myself. Crafted by Dave, good work matey. Bring on some more.

I have ordered Bonedeth as of today. Lastly, I watched Animal ‘Cuts’ last night and its pretty darn good. I was a little disappointed with a few dudes, however Edwin, Garrett, Joe, Mark, Nigel, Mike, Jarred and Tyrone all have killer parts.

This is rad! Rob and Jye killing Tasmania, at least someone is. Man I cannot wait for rob baby to come back up to QLD to ride and hang out. It’s hard to find someone who wants to ride street all the time and rob has a similar outlook on riding to me. Go fast as hell and jump shit haha.
His Tina part should be amazing.

Hollaaa!
As promised, I have acquired a number of creamy shots from fellow blogger Tom D who came along to take a few shots over the weekend.

Ended up taming the rail Samson found. It is actually quite high and awkward to get onto, Sam found out the hard way. I would still like to go back in the daytime to do something a little more complex instead of straight dub;

Rolled up to our cherished bob jane rail for a quick ride. I practiced some crank tasties. I’m still not quite confident enough to slay a manlier raz;

Fresh Coast recruit/tourist, Jackson Townsend, enjoys the odd flat rail. Here he is getting all up in yo face;

Beeeeessssssss;

Jesse with a gnar turndown from the previous day;

Oh baby, Crispy is not just about the cock. Worldwide… Jimmy mac… bratttt brattttttt;

This weekend was so rad! I should have a heap of photos to post up once they get uploaded. In the meantime I will display some tidbits from today’s efforts.

Once again, met up with Duffy;

and headed into the city, joining up with Jerry, Nick and Beast. Cruised the City, plagued with ANZAC parades and blockages, realising most spots were a bust due to the amount of people. Beast had a bunch of spots he knew of on the southside so we headed there and found loads of cool locales within this industrial estate.

Jerry; Raz Manual

After getting some shit done I.E Nick did a sweet gap B, Jerry did a bunch of cool lines and I dropped a carpark gap;

we headed back into the city to slay a few things with the hope of lesser people, clogging our fun. Turns out I was feeling the King George Square sculpture gap, so with a few cameras on hand, I smashed it out, relatively eventful free;

That was however, until we were just about to pack up, when two cops strolled over, apparently alerted of our activities through a number of CCTV cameras. At the beginning our cameras were supposedly being confiscated for evidence which would have been highly irritating. Beast and I were escorted to the station where they issued me with a 600$ fine, 500$ for riding on the sculpture and 100$ for riding without a helmet, that part was alright but they were going to make us delete the footage for legal purposes. What they didn’t know was that I did it twice for different angles, so Beast, being the sneaky little fella, taped over the second shot leading the officers to believe the footage was gone. So stoked we got our cameras, more importantly, our tapes back. I would die if that was taken.

So, all in all a rad day. It’s dope riding with Nick, Jerry and Beast, all real nice dudes.

Elaboration: Part 3

After finishing up riding street in Newcastle, we spotted this curb booster thing and Duffy noted that it could make a good photo. This was shot on film and turned out real cool, simple! The bunnyhop is probably my favourite trick to do on a bike.

This spot was found by my mate who skates and is easily visible from the Bruce Highway. I can’t believe I have never seen it before, its real sweet. There have been people there, yet no one bothers us at all, even when we shift the dumpster. We were hoping we could move the truck behind the kicker thing, to jump over, instead of the dumpster. Turns out its not going anywhere!

Ahhh! The Hunter Valley TAFE raz tang. This is one of my favourite shots, mainly because it was a spot which I found. I got dealt some pure evil blows before pulling it, I suck at balancing long rails. Stoked on this! There was also a contractor carrying out works on the TAFE whilst we were there, turns out he had the key to lock the place. Just as we finished he went to leave and we ended up having to bail him up and make him wait for Duffy to pack his gear up so we didn’t get locked out. Good timing.

I’ll leave this post with a little edit my main man, Dave, came up with. His first edit! many more to come.

Part 2: Elaboration

We rolled into Canberra with the intent of heading to Backbone BMX sometime. Ended up having to go there anyway to fix a few minor problems with our bikes. Anyway, we get there, have a chat with Rhysty, Tyson and Bentley then the Nike 676.99 guys turn up. They were all real cool dudes. Harry was nice enough to say g’day, seemed to have his head screwed on properly. Thanks to Backbone for letting us rock up and use their tools to fix our bikes on the spot.

This was just to get a bit of a snap with Miner and Bahr. Jeff is really tall and really quiet, well apparently that is until he gets a brew or two in him.

The infamous scrivener dam overflow in Canberra. You may recognize this from the latest Fit DVD, seeing it in real life makes you appreciate what Dak and Dehart did here. Riding up the wall was pretty damn scary. Once I got it sussed I was able to Josh Stricker my way up as far as possible. Duffy happened to snap it clean.

Adrian Duffy was nice enough to forward me a bunch of photos which have either recently been published or won’t be used. I find it interesting to hear about the process of getting shots done, you know, the exploring, the mates you found it with, security issues, bonedeth before pulling the shot etc.

I will post some shots up in 3 sections. Let the elaboration begin;

Samson Ross: The little fella pulled this baby first go, hot hot hot. This was from one of the last days on the Canberra trip which Miner and Bahr took us to, turned out to be a dope area. Also, straight after the stair set is an almost bar height brick wall, which Sam came oh so close to hopping over, would have made the clip true badass.

For me, pulling this basically signalled the end of the trip. This was from the same day as the photo above, once again, a spot which Miner showed us to, thanks mate. Both Sam and I got dealt punishing blows from this rail just trying to dub straight. Once the other dudes turned up I thought, fuck it ill just let ice fly, luckily second go I got it stuck clean. Almost straight afterwards, a bloke came out of a nearby building and told us that we were done! Good end.
Later that night, Miner and Fordyce met up with us and we got wild, best day in a long time.

Mat Lawton: Ahh Duffy and his hair, he is like a goddess with those wispy locks flowing in the breeze, can he get any sexier. This tasty little treat delivered by the boss himself was a killer clip. The wall is actually pretty decent in height, the angle just minimizes it a little. Not much else to say about this shot except… hollatchuboyeeeeeee

So another weekend is down for the count, haven’t got much to share. Saturday we attempted to cross off a few clips, instead we drove around dodging the goddamn rain, plaguing the, what could have been, dope sessions. I think I could actually ride a flat rail all day baby.

In contrast to my street terror rant, we actually found a dope rail setup less than 10 minutes from my place, so stoked! Plan on busting a few naughties down this little guy friday night.

Anyway, back to Saturday, the one highlight of the day ended up being the accumulation of this rail which we ‘found’. Can’t wait to set this up somewhere and get jiggy.

Sunday proved to be quite good. As stated on Tempered, Matty organized a day for a bunch of the team guys to meet up and shoot some stuff for the new products catalog and website dropping soon. Real awesome meeting Lembo and Stu Munroe, both top blokes.

In the afternoon, we made our way back to the dam overflow to test out the lip Samson crafted, turns out it held up pretty good and is a load of fun.

Can’t wait for next weekend, so eager to ride more.

Damnnn! I was searching David Grant edits and came across his coalition part which has been uploaded only an hour or so ago. This shit is so naughty! I still don’t understand derek dusters, to me they look impossible. I think I have a man-crush.

Watch the edit here, it won’t let me embed it on crispy.

In addition, I have been getting stoked on a few new releases as of late.
Firstly, Aloha has released their new record ‘Home Acres’. I discovered Aloha through some of my older props video magazines and still enjoy them to this day. I would place bets on the chances of the track ‘Moonless March’ being used in a number of edits or even an upcoming props.

Secondly, I was put onto this band, The Radio Dept, through a friend of a friend and was delightfully surprised at their sound. Real chill/euro vibe and they appear to be relatively unearthed, which adds credibility!

Mass delay on Squeeed X Crispy. Damn
