As previously noted, I ended up getting some riding done on Tuesday. Picked salad up only to experience my car’s first breakdown, whilst annoying, my car’s demise was nowhere near as spectacular as this…

Continuing on, we rolled through the city and met up with the Colony team at the Tempered drains. Bayzand and Fahy-Hampton were killin’ it. I got my act together enough to get a line done that I have wanted to do for a while;

Afterwards we travelled into the city and rode the renowned Roma St Parklands. Mucked around a bit on the curved flyout/wallride thingy. CCC whipped off the toilet block, like it was nothin’!

Finally, as the sun was going down we rode the concrete ledge spot in the valley and got a few things done. Salad B got his daddy pants on and threw down;

Throughout the day I was starting to come down with a mad throat irritation. Upon arriving home that day, I could hardly talk, eat, drink or sleep which are not activities you want to lose. Today I smashed through about one million throat lozengers with no luck. Finally found relief through painkillers. Hopefully I’m all good to roll this long weekend.

I doubt anyone else is interested in this, but Julia Gfrorer has some interesting sketches.
The plan for this weekend is for 3 pairs of crutches, 2 bikes and 5 people to make their way to Ballina. Most probably consist of loose times rather than riding so I’m looking forward to it. Still tossing up weather i should attempt to pre-maturely remove myself from the injured list and bring my little bike, not too worried though because im sure there will be plenty of tasty treats to keep me occupied.

Damnnnnn! No weekend BMX imagery to share, although I did do a lot of riding. Upon seeing Bonedeth trailer I was super psyched, man I want to go faster and bigger than ever. So what better to do than hit up the skatepark and nibble on a flat rail! No one wanted to hit street apart from The Tourist, who unfortunately killed his knee being a clown.

Anyway, I ended up having a few drinks Friday and Saturday nights which was different. After getting started by two douchy beach ravaged fags as we were leaving RSL, I dropped a few dudes back to Jeff’s place. As per usual Jeff was naked apart from his sisters G Banger and super drunk, top bloke.

You will also be interested to know that Jeff has a tattoo on his leg of a Giraffe sucking its own penis, I don’t even know what to say;

Savage! Anyway, back to riding. Rode the newly built Ramp Attack setup on Sunday night. Damn its good to have an indoor park with lights, its about time Queensland had something decent. Had so much fun on the street course. The Colony dudes turned up as well, gnarly seeing Bayzand, Fahy-Hampton and Cooper shredding.

Tomorrow I plan to hit up some street in Brissy with Big Salad and get some shit done.

Ill leave this just for something bmx related. So chill! Can’t wait for the new animal DVD to be done.

Just updating because i can’t do much besides sit at the computer this weekend. Last friday my uncle bought plane tickets for me and my dad to go to Sydney and help him out with a bit of building. I didn’t let that stop me from riding on the weekend so i ended up on crutches for the week, rendering me fairly useless and bored out of my brains. The only reason this video stays on my youtube account is because it reminds me that I am improving… slowly. If i keep up hopefully i will end up like this guy in a couple of years.

This photo was shot whilst filming for the most recent Tempered edit and Tina, which you shouldn’t forget, Alex will be editing the clips of the dudes so far and setting a release date for later this year with some luck. I can only imagine how much dope shit Jay and Rob have.

Damn my colleagues are slacking… well Matty has reason, he has joined the triple 6 roadtrip which would be so amazing, plus he has heaps of other things to do. Contrary, Samson Ross has just been sitting on his ass doing nothing, probably breaking stuff and pretending he can play guitar. Actually, this is all a lie, the poor little guy got his street confidence up to an all time high, until on the weekend just gone, was swiftly shut down on a big 360, contorting some muscles or ligaments in his foot.

Furthermore, both Matty and Samson are in Sydney this weekend, leaving me with little to no options in regards to street buddies. We will see how things go!

Rad bike we seen whilst out riding Sunday;

Killer!

So I get to do the semi-weekend blogging tonight since I don’t have the ‘shiternet’ at home due to dodgy fuckhead electricians not being able to do their shitty job.
The weekend started in regular style, a few drinks friday night then a bit of bmxing saturday. For once it was relatively lag free and we all clocked at least one clip each.

First up yo mike jumped a creamy rail for a bit of warm up-

the cutie macgyver did the subway gap-

and i 3d some sexy stairs-

lastly, mike did a tasty t-borris-

That was our super productive saturday over with! Tomorrow will involve much more of the same hopefully, Brisbane, suit up.

This week on 60 minutes: Mitchell Wood, The truth..

March 16th, 2010 — 5:43am

At first, project thought was to be more based
around taking the piss and having a few laughs
with this here Exclusive Manbeast Interview, but
as i dug deeper and heard what Mitch has to say
i decided to make it a little more serious.
Dive deep into Manbeasts past where he talks
exclusively with yours truly about fondling 9
year old girls, Final fantasy Obsessions, Diversity
BMX and some other weird shit, i wasn’t really
paying attention…

You saw it here first, Crispy Stream, World Wide.

1. How did “Manbeast” come about and how long has it stuck?

I’ve always been alot bigger and more hirsute than people my age., so that kinda factored into it. I got called Manchild alot in school so I guess Manbeast was the next stage of. Steve Joseph called me a Manbeast one day at Kuraby about 6 years ago I’m guessing and it pretty much stuck from there. I prefer just Beast though. Sounds a bit tougher, haha. I wonder what the next evolution from Manbeast will be…?

2. You have been a solid contributor for Aus BMX for some time now with Diversity, FTR and now this Crispy Interview.. Do you have any plans in the new year to further grow any of these projects?

Yeah I’ve got some big plans that will hopefully take form very soon. I’d love to expand Diversity a bit and maybe get some contributors from other states as well.

3. How many hours do you spend playing Final Fantasy compared to riding?

Hahaha. Considering there hadn’t been a new one in like 3 years my ratio was pretty good. Final Fantasy 13 came out last Tuesday though and I’ve clocked about 20 hours so far. I’ve spent 100+ hours on each one from FF7 upwards. That includes playing a few of them multiple times. Man this is sounding pretty sad, hahahaha.
As for riding I’ve ridden my cruiser for about 8 hours this week and my 20″ for a couple minutes in the FTR carpark. I can blame a bulging disc in my back for that though.

4. I once heard that you fondled with a 9 year old girl in NSW and had to move to QLD to hide from the law? (i just remember that story you told justy hahaha)

Oh man. Before anyone comes to lynch me this was a practical joke I played on Justy when I very first met him. It was about 5 years ago so I was like 17 and he was 14. Like I said before I’ve always looked alot older so I created this crazy backstory about how I was some 25yo predator from NSW that got a 9yo pregnant and had to move here and change my identity and lie about my age. Man, I’ve just got a fucked up sense of humor. I’m surprised Justy even kept talking to me after that.

5. Describe a normal day in the life of Mitch Wood?

Wake up around 7. Eat breakfast in front of computer. Drive to work and spent 9 hours selling kids bikes, entering invoices and other exhilarating things. Finish at 6 and go home. Dinner in front of the computer and try and find something to post on Diversity that Justy hasn’t already, haha. Then either Final Fantasy, COD, or Fixie ride, shower, bed at 1. Repeat.

6. Tell me somethings crazy i dont know where this is going..

Uh man I dunno, I’m sure theres lots of crazy stuff. Maybe that I once tried fapping with deep heat. Haha. Nah, don’t put that in there.

7. …

8. When are more Diversity stickers going to be available on Dans?

I think I better shut my mouth when it comes to Dans…

9. Where do you see yourself in the next 12 months?

Once I get as buff as Samson I’ll do a nude Crispy x Gucci shoot with him.

10. A lot of people don’t really understand what it takes to run something like Diversity as well as having a full time job and a personal life, do you find it hard to juggle sometimes?

Yeah man that shits rough. Sometimes I struggle and something gets a bit left out, whether it be not being able to ride as much as I want or not seeing Liezl as much as I want. Im thankful that Justy has come on board with Diversity and that he’s doing such a great job. For a while there I had such little time and was finding it hard to find motivation to keep it going.

I’ve found a pretty good balance lately though. I still want to ride more but I’ve figured out that you can easily gain a few hours in the day. Sleep less, haha.

11. Ender quote and thank yous…

Keep it crispy.

This post is basically a timeline of our saturday night and the transition from sexy normal Samson and ‘Mac’gyver to dregged out flaky mouldy funny as fuck Samson and ‘Mac’gyver.

We chilled at mine for a bit, twisting through a few drinks;

Eventually, mustering up the courage to head on up the coast to my mate Damo’s crib on the beach for his 20th with a few boys and girls. Samson wasn’t showing any signs of slowing down;

Gradually, the alcohol (consumed within the timeframe of around 3 hours) released its inevitable effects on its host;

After possessing the strength to overcome ‘minor’ liquor inhalation, Kimbo Slice posed for a photo as we decided that we should probably leave;

The end of the night was definitely signaled with the state of my accomplices and the ratio of clothes to male genitalia becoming less and less;

Upon arriving home again, ‘Mac’manus passed out into a state of pure bliss, ignorant to exterior doings, this was taken advantage of;

and this (n/h);

All in all, a damn good night was had. New tempered mix out tomorrow night, look out for that.

I have one million photos from this weekend, so I will attempt to split the goodness within two parts; riding and Saturday night.

Firstly, riding! This weekend is the first in a long time upon which I haven’t left the realms of the skatepark, which was still really fun. Matty and myself filmed a few things for a little split edit which should be out later in the week or something.

Basically, just rode Caloundra with Samson and ‘Mac’oss Bagdhatis who are downright good blokes.

Fakie: Up down up down up down

‘Mac’auley Culkin: Nose deck

Schwung: No foot can one hander.. flyout? who care’s its dope

I’m too eager on this next post to even bother with linking.. does anyone click them anyway?
