I got excited today. Excited at the thought of exploring new grounds in the hope of discovering mischievous bicycle deposits. More specifically, i am talking about scouring the streets of the prestigious region of Ipswich. Cannot wait, i have the ‘feeling’ and it usually holds true.

Crikey this year has gone fast, the mid-semester break is complete and all thats left between me and the beginning of 4 months of awesome is 7 weeks of hardcore study.
The weekend just passed saw the combination of Tom, duffy and myself continue on yet another adventure into the streets of your town.
Rode a number of spots including the Coast’s best kept secret spot aka Immanuel College (which is the education precinct of a fellow BMXer who somehow kept the place underwraps for sometime). Somehow, after our 3rd visit we still have clips to be slayed, the right moment has yet to overcome us. On the downside, an overrail with limited focus caused the blackening of my inner thigh and a nasty little face hump.

Sunday, we rode on into Gympie and were showed around to some sexy spots via local amigo Callan, Tom and myself each clocked a few clips and found a few for next time. Now, we look forward to the weekend approaching. Manlove times at Tom’s crib.

The last 20 minutes of Inglourious Basterds contains some of the most epic film i’ve seen in a while (I hate using the word epic unless its truly viable, like in the case of this or this). You probably wont understand until you view it, i highly recommend it.

Duffy, Jesse and myself trekked to the Gold Coast to ride with Tom and Robert. We ended up riding heaps of cool spots in some weird ass University community with pathetic overly orderly housing blocks in a stringent muddle of roads. I would have loaded up some photos to show you, however, i was too busy picking death needles sent from hell out of my hand after i decided to ninja roll off a roof post robert jumping his titanium bike off of it. Robert, still in annihilation mode, pysched up to 360 a 9 flat 9, yes that is 18 stairs and yes they are really big. Although to our dismay, his bike decided it was too sissy and wimped out, next time!
Pretty much had an awesome day, we all got a clip, well apart from duffy, but he is excused, this weekend Dickpack will invade the streets of Gympie, obviously im psyched.

Anyway, the night before i attended my cousin Raine’s engagement party at her new house, pretty cool catching up with the good side of the family and my brother snapped a few shots of the evening, this will probably not interest you, i dont care.

I decided i would do a little write up on one of my favourite hardcore/thrash/deathmetal outfits of late, Heaven Shall Burn.

They hail from Germany and make up one portion of a brutal group of european death/thrash metal bands. Their lyrics are based upon a mixture of anti-racism, social justice and anti-religious portrayed in a manner of aggression. The view of religion held by the band is quite appealing to myself as i find christianity/catholicism sickening.

From reading their biography, i discovered that their name is basically making fun of the artificial heaven people create within their minds to block the truth surrounding them.

Definitely a gnarly vibe going on around the place, maybe this song should have been used to diverge the god damn hippies

I have always been real into album artwork and the following covers evoke differing emotions and opinion. Whilst i have no artistic flare whatsoever, these album covers seem to captivate my attention whenever i see them (they are half the reason i am aware of these bands, from shuffling through albums at music stores). Hope you can also appreciate it.

Few other favourites, most of these albums i have bought purely because of the cover design and true to my trust, they have all turned out to be kickass metal.
