Yes, this is the name of my new record… and it looks like it’s coming out on July 10th in Australia. I’m very excited to tell you this news because, believe me, I’m absolutely hopeless at keeping secrets! Phew, I feel better now… The first single, ‘All I Want’ will be out in a couple of weeks.

Other news that I’ve been keeping locked in the vault is that I’ll be playing one of my first shows after the album’s release at the Splendour In The Grass Festival in July.

- Lastly, if anyone is ever wondering about a song played on Triple JJJ i suggest checking this little guy out here

Canada Flag Pictures, Images and Photos

Is a beautiful place full of amazing bands, scenery, people, skateparks/street and pretty much everything in general.
Mad plug for canada tonight!
Id advise anyone travelling to hit this breathtakingly scenic and friendly place up.

PS
Although my disgust for Unit is still evident, somehow this cunning brand for haggard beefcakes has entered itself into my life and i believe there is an array of Unit items within this very residence, stay strong michael, stay very strong.

Caliban are touring all over the world whilst being in the midst of writing and recording their new album, check their myspace for updates.

German metal/hardcore gods Heaven Shall Burn are preparing to tour Australia in may with trivium. I would recommend seeing them as they are fucking nuts

If you are into some good ol’ head thrashing sounds check out

Interesting

April 11th, 2009 — 3:24am

So ive been doing some research for a sustainablity essay and ive come across this little excerpt from my textbook.

The total expenditure, per year, for world military ventures is $1.2 trillion! America alone utilizes $560 billion of this total for their military as well as another $30 billion for potato chips/snacks and cosmetics.

Take that in for a second.

Now to reforest the earth, protect forests, restore rangelands, stabilize water tables, deal with global HIV/AIDS, restore fisheries, provide universal primary education, protect topsoil on cropland, protect biodiversity, provide basic health care for all, provide clean drinking water and sewage treatment for all and eliminate hunger and malnutrition would cost….

$245 billion dollars!

How fucked up is the world… if we stopped fighting each other and chilled out a bit more everyone could be living large and not having to worry about all them goombas!

Fingers crossed!

April 6th, 2009 — 9:35am

Two reasons for crossing your fingers beys:
1- Good weather on wednesday, the fellows (duff, tim, samshwang) and myself are on a trip to ballina and mullumbimby, rain will most certainly give me the shits.

2- Im bidding on a sweet vintage leather jacket for 10$. If this post causes you to outbid me, i will assume foetal position and make cartman esque noises.
(trent from punchy tone) check it!

Updated rant

April 6th, 2009 — 9:25am

Uni holidays are upon us, this has had many positive effects. Inclusive in this gloriousness is some free time to go out and do something active…. pffftt….. comeupbmx.net more like it, after watching the daily stream of videos i started to think about which videos i really enjoyed and which videos i didnt. I have come to the conclusion that any rider who puts alot of thought into their riding are straight up awesome to watch.

For example, Jim C, i can remember rewinding and rewinding (back in the days of buying tapes!) his riding in road fools 9. They roll up to a dope rail in cali and Jim fires out about a million different variations down the rail blowing everyones minds, this is back in 04 or something. Still today, he is running sunday, pushing the limits of the sport and sometimes doing this upon a 24″ bmx haha.

Another example of some thinkers out there in this ever conforming world are Taj, kevin porter, jeff harrington, Kym grosser, ian schwartz, marcus grubbs just to name a few off the top of my head. Their the dudes cruising around having heaps of fun and actually thinking about new ways to grind that rail, new ways to ride the old mini, new ways to tweak that move. You get the picture right?

N.B I didnt even cite examples of non thinkers aka 90% of kids
